World Youth Day 2011 Madrid
The Office of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry will once again host the World Youth Day Pilgrimage. In August 2011 the pilgrimage will take us to Madrid Spain. The official WYD week in Madrid will take place August 16-21 but we will also be participating in the “catechetical days in the Diocese” the week before and we will add a few other days with planned stops that will be announced soon.
We do not have a complete price for the pilgrimage yet but plan for $3,000-$3,500.00 a person. We hope to have a more definitive price in the next month or two. Please do go on to the WYD Madrid website below to learn more about the pilgrimage.
Our pilgrimage will especially be geared to young adults though teens age 16 and up and their adult chaperones may attend. It is our hope that this pilgrimage will give each person an opportunity to experience the universal Catholic Church and to experience the faith of the families and youth, young adults we meet in Spain.
